What this site keeps, and what it does not

The fit check runs in your browser. This page lists every way data leaves it.

Your files and pasted text

Resumes, notes and postings you paste or upload are read in your browser. They are never uploaded, stored or logged. Reports are not saved anywhere; closing the tab ends them.

Public links

When you run a check that includes a job-posting link or a public profile link, this site fetches that page from its own server so it can read the text. The site you linked sees that request. Nothing else you typed is sent along with it.

Counters

After each report the browser sends a count with five values: that an analysis happened, the band it landed in, the role family, how many sources were analyzed (0, 1, 2 or 3 and more) and the surface. No text, no identifiers, no cookies.

Your browser also keeps a small tally of how many reports it has run on this device, and reports once when that tally reaches one, three and ten. That is how repeat use is measured without an identifier. Clearing site data resets it.

What the hosting platform keeps

The hosting platform keeps request logs, which include IP addresses, for one hour on the current plan. Nothing in those logs contains the text you pasted.

Accounts

There are none. The site is free to use and asks for nothing.
